Today I have a birthday card that I made for this week's Mod Squad challenge to use a special fold. This is called a joy fold (thanks Brenda!) card. I used GinaK cardstock in bubblegum pink & blue raspberry colors, along with some GinaK Garden Tour dsp to put this together. I embossed the front panel with a SU! petals a'plenty ef and dotted it with some color to coordinate with the dsp. The layered button was done with an IO button die and adhered with a piece of foam tape on one side to hold the card front closed. The word "happy" is from SSS and the panel it's on was cut with a lil inker stitched rectangle. When opened, it looks like this..........
I added another happy birthday inside done with SSS and SNSS dies, along with some punched flowers using assorted SU! punches.
I found this in blogland yesterday and couldn't stop giggling! I still hand-write checks the old fashioned way and this is so "me" it's hilarious! LOL
Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Totally creative! I love the bubble gum pink. The spots of color on the embossing look awesome!
This is just gorgeous,fab design.xxx
What a fabulous card, Carol!!! The embossed bubblegum background with your dotted handmade is amazing! You are always very accurate in your works! I'd like to be so, it's a my goal for the future...
Love your card design, with the folded panel with these cute flowers and the pretty big button! It's a very beautiful card for a birthday!
I wish thank you for your lovely comments on my blog, and for your cyber friendship!
Have a great new year, full of all the things you wish!!
Very pretty card Carol! Love the floral patterned paper and what a wonderful fold on this. Inside and out it's so lovely.
I'm laughing too - because I'm still one of those that writes checks! Every one I've written so far this year look like that picture. What's really sad though is that they will continue to look like that until about April!

Very festive card and I love the font on the word Happy. I like your little 2014/15 sign. I will be just like this sign also. Enjoy your Sunday
What a gorgeous card with bright happy colors. It does my heart good to see bright colors. Nothing but gray here. I'll do okay with the date change for the first few weeks of the new year and then I'll suddenly start writing weird things like 1996 or 2002.... dunno why.
Very pretty card and wonderful texture. Thanks for joining us at The Mod Squad Challenge.
This is such a pretty card, I love the paper and EF you used and they compliment each other perfectly.

I like the texture and shape of this fun birthday card. Hugz
Gorgeous card there Carol. Lovely to see bright funky colours during this drab season...my house looks so bare now with no decs!!
Know what you mean about cheques!

What a fun card Carol! I love the color combo and that pretty paper. I know this kind of card as a joy fold card. They are so much fun to make! I had to laugh because I have already messed up writing the year, instead writing 2014, it will take me a while to get it right as well! lol Hugs, Brenda
You know I'm fold challenged, so I particularly like this one (and the name fits well too). Love the bright bubbly colors, and perfect for a young teen miss (or any other young at heart!). Lively patterns worked great with the bright colors, and just a real happy card. Laughed at the little 2015 box. Me, fer shore! I am becoming Scrooge I think, because I dread New Year, all the stuff that has to get done (Grrrr...insurance stuff for one), new file folders, and I will most certainly mess up some checks! TFS & Hugs
