CAS Love (maybe?)

I don't consider myself a very good CAS card maker, but this one might just be able to slither into the Cas-ual Fridays CFC 125 gallery without the challenge police tossing me out to the curb:) The challenge this week is "In a Word." I've been making lots and lots of Valentines recently, but this one doesn't look like the layered cards I usually make (like yesterday's 9-layer card). For this reason, I thought I'd take a chance and post it to the CAS challenge. I used SU!'s banner blast stamps and matching punch to put this together, along with some twine and a SB die cut heart. Melon Mambo is my color of choice - just a fun variation from traditional red.

Thanks for poking your head in the door today - I hope you're able to stay warm wherever you live!

Carol

I think it's a perfect CAS card! The way you got that one tiny word in there is wonderful and love the banner going over the heart! Fantastic.

Whether it's 9 layers or 1 you always come up with the most delightful cards. This is a very sweet card. I love the way your have your sentiment piece with that twine floating. Beautiful job. Going down very low tomorrow and Wednesday, 8 degrees with wind chills at about -15. Today it is almost 50. Enjoy your day.

I think this fits as CAS but I'm no expert. I do know I love it though, especially the one little word banner off to the bottom. Great job!

Well, Carol, it certainly makes my CAS-loving heart go all pitter-patter!! I think it might even WIN at CFC, it's that fantastic!! It's a winner in my book, anyway, and I'll be stealing, er, CASEing the idea any minute now!! Hugs, Darnell

I love the Melon Mambo and your card is so pretty. I would say it fits well into the CAS category. I sure wouldn't want the challenge police to throw you to the curb tonight....way too cold.
It will be 5 degrees at my house tonight. Brrrrrrrr

I'm with Lynn..I think it's just perfect. I've yet to see a card that I didn't think you had done well! This one is no exception. Love your color choice and the cute little banner is just too delightful. Liked the pop of black & white against the Mambo. Great white space too (I have trouble with that myself...dunno why). Expect it's pretty cold in your area, so stay cozy & warm. Hugs & TFS.

I know what you mean, sometimes it's hard for me to judge whether my own creations are CAS. I think your card definitely is CAS, because of your use of white space. And I think it's adorable, too. I'm sure it will put a smile on the face of the recipient!
