Stars & Stamps sketch challenge #108

Here is this week's sketch #108 for the Stars and Stamps blog...

and here is the card I made. I added another panel because I just couldn't seem to make the sketch work otherwise. I used an Inkadinkado cardinal image, colored with Copics, sponged with Antique Linen ink, edged with a black marker and then die cut using Spellbinders labels eighteen. The music background was done with a $1 stamp I found at Michaels, and the sentiment was done with a Northwoods stamp in Cherry Cobbler ink. The card stock is a cream-colored textured linen beauty that was sent to me by my friend Heidi last week. I embossed the horizontal panels with a SU! square lattice ef, while I made the vertical border with a MS arch lattice punch. A little snippet of ribbon finished this card.
Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday, and thanks for stopping by!

I echo everything Maureen said. I grew up where cardinals were prolific in the winter and your coloring is great.

Yes, that really is beautiful card stock - and so is your card. Love the way you used the sheet music DP on here and I really think Cherry Cobbler is one of my very favorite colors!

Total gorgeous Carol. That is terrific textured paper for the card base and your image is colored to perfection. Your little bow adds the perfect touch. You used two of my favs lattice ef and the MS punch. Enjoy your Sunday.

Beautiful, Carol! I have to check Michael's for that music stamp. I really like that. Your image is awesome. The only way it could look better is if that bird was perched on a tree in my back yard with a big snow on the ground. LOL
