A Day of Remembering...9.11.01

Today is the 10th anniversary of the day that changed America forever with this attack on New York City. I will always remember where I was when this senseless terrorist act happened, and I'll never forget all the lives lost, or the pain, anguish, and suffering so many Americans endured that day. I will be taking the time today to remember those brave souls who ran into those burning towers to save lives and never came out. I'll also remember all the innocent people whose lives were lost while working in those twin towers and the Pentagon, as well as those passengers flying on hijacked airplanes who were gone in the blink of an eye. My prayers are for them and their loved ones left behind who endured unthinkable suffering and losses.
Thank you president Obama, along with our brave military, for finally giving this country a sense of justice by eliminating the mastermind of this horrendous attack upon the American people. We will never forget.

Carol, you said it all beautifully. Thank You. I can't wait to get home this afternoon to make a card for one of the thousands of heroes that are overseas because of the happenings on this horrific day ten years ago. My heart goes out to all who died and the family members who have suffered so much loss and heartache. Jack had a coworker who lost his step daughter on that terrible day. She was a young 24 year old stewardess on the second plane to hit the towers. Jack and he actually watched the plane hit together. What a terrible thought to know you watched the minute your loved one died like that and to see it thousands of times on TV over the years. Their family has never been the same.

A sad day in history, indeed. I was still in Canada when this happened, but I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I got the news. It affected us way up there, too.

Such a terrible day! You've given us a good post, Carol.
Our community choir did a patriotic musical last night including military, emergency personnel, volunteers, so many. It was wonderful.

What a terrible day. And yes, I too remember exactly where I was on that day. (We probably ALL do!) I was at work, sitting in the basement of the tallest building in our town. Wondering, and fearing that our building would be next...(after hearing about the fourth plane crash) The silence in the room at my office is also something I will not forget...such sadness!
