Here's a card I made for The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #90 that has no snowflakes, winter theme, or anything relating to cold weather! LOL Our electric bill came on Friday and it nearly tripled, so our heat is turned down lower and we're layering up to keep warm in this cold snap. I thought if I stamped some flowers to remind me of warmer weather it might work, but so far it isn't happening! LOL
For this I used a CTMH stamp set called Treasure of life. I colored the stamps with markers before stamping for a little color variation. The embossed panel was done with SU's petals a plenty ef on PTI's bitty basics dp. The dp in the background is from the Jubilee paper pack by MM. The sentiment is by G Studio done in night of navy. The cardstock and ribbon are Spring Rain by PTI, and the mats are Night of Navy. I colored the tiny flower with a Copic marker to match the darker flower on the stamped image. I had to tweak the sketch a bit and move the ribbon to the top, but I hope the challenge police won't notice:)
Thanks for stopping by and stay warm! Have a great Monday!
Carol

Good Job!
Great Monday too!
I'm your new follower and add your blog to My Blog List. :-)
Did you hear me gasp? This is beautiful, Carol! I just love blue in any form, and when I get blue flowers ot grow in my garden, I am like a giddy little kid. Awesome sketch! Just got oil around Christmas and the tank is half empty already. I feel your shivers!
Hellooooooooooooo, to you, dear, dear blog friend! I'm AM SO, beyond {!}, delighted that you stopped by! You have been on my "list" for so long... {and I'm HORRIBLE at attacking the list!} I have that perfectionist gene that won't let me do something, until I'm sure I can REALLY do it right, so, consequently, a LOT doesn't get done! SOOOOO, without beating myself, too badly, I'll just say HELLO, my DEAR! I am so happy to see that your beautiful work is still JUST THAT, if not more so! This card + great colors + smashing design = FABULOUS! Your stunning creations are SO swoon-worthy! I'm feeling a little better, just for looking!
P.S. I was astonished that somehow I'd never gotten around to following you "officially!" {What up with my lack of brain cells these days! Too much REAL life stress! Ack!} You're a peach and I have rectified "some" of this problem *wink*... Love you, dear!
Youch! A triple heat bill???!!! You'd better stay warm by stamping extra vigorously!!! This is beautiful--it makes me think of spring!
Absolutely stunning, gf!
Oh how we HATE winter heating bills. Blech! We do the same thing....dress a little warmer in the house, burn coal, and keep the thermostats DOWN when we're not in the rooms.
Beautiful flower card Carol! I'm sooooo ready for nicer/warmer weather! We had ice rain here today...yikes!
Your card is like a fresh breeze of sunshine...thanks for sharing! Stay warm...hugs ~S~
Wow Carol!! This is stunning!! I so love the blue and the embossing!! Such a beautiful spring card!! I am so much in the mood for the spring weather too. The cold is getting old fast. We have our thermostat set lower too and bundle up too or the oil burns too fast...lots of money!!
hugs,
Chris
Oh, I love this and it looks so warm and Spring-like. I hate cold weather...just give me 85-90 degrees and I'm happy, except for our horrible humidity, of course. I like your embossed designer paper and the flowers are a breath of fresh air. Just gorgeous!
Beautiful card, Carol! Such springy colors on such a COLD & snowy day! I love the colors & your layout on this. I'm ready for a bit of spring now.
This so pretty...I love the colors you used...the eb is just perfect for this card. Your coloring beautiful...Jill <---who has an extra sweater on today, I might have to type with gloves...
This is just stunning! It sure is a reminder that spring will be coming, maybe not soon...but it is such a pretty season! I love this beautifully done card! Thank-you so much for joining us this week at Sweet Stop Sketches.
Triple??? Yikes! I know what you mean, though. I am layering as well since I'm "skeered" to see what my next bill is going to be!!!
Love this card. Those blues are just gorgeous!
