The challenge over at the Stampin' Bees blog this week is to use a star on a card. I embossed the star in the sky with silver ep and added stickles to the torn cardstock edges to resemble snow. The snowman from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps was cut out and popped up on foam tape. A very simple card to make, but I just adore the image of this snowman looking up to the star in the sky!Do you have your Christmas cards finished yet? I'm still working on the last of mine, but I did get some mailed today and boy was I lucky! Not another soul was in the post office except moi!! I'm so grateful for that pleasant experience, trust me!! LOL Next week, the packages go out along with the rest of the cards, and I know I'll have plenty of company then!

Carol...this is darling. Like you, I love the snowman looking up into the beautiful sky..probably looking for THE star. And, your star is perfect and just lovely. It is such a sin that since we are card makers, our least favorite place to go is the P.O.! I have actually started stocking up on large cent stamps so I can do the parcel weight from home. Anyway, I adore this snowman and the look on his little face! Great job.
Sometimes simple is perfect - this card is just that! I envy your post office visit! Monday when I went it was a mob scene - I felt so bad for the postal workers! Keep warm ~ Kathy

Carol, I,too, just love the snowman looking up at the star. I also thought the use of Stickles on the paper tears is quite a nice technique. I have about 2 more to do but got distracted doing Valentine's for OWH! Tomorrow is another day. Living in a small town does have its PO advantages! Blessings, Louise
