Happy Saturday everyone. I've had this card done for a while, but with my camera quitting on me, I couldn't post it. My DH got it working for me again, but it's still throwing fits, so he bought me a new camera for Christmas a little early :) I haven't been able to find the time to learn how to use it yet, so for today I'm using the old camera which still has a little life left to it.
This card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch challenge #31 which has a little twist this week to make a wintry theme. I had an order to make a Christmas card with a dog image on it, and this is the result. I made an origami tree out of some green DP with white polka dots. I added some stickles and then some white Flower-soft, and finally some red liquid pearls. I made the trunk by coloring some kraft cs with brown markers and adding more Flower-soft to the "ground". I used the Nesties labels 4 in Real Red for the mat, and the red polka dot DP is by Wild Asparagus. I stamped the Kraft cs base with Versamark using the tiny snowflake from the Snow Swirled set and heat embossed it with winter wonderland ep. The dog was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink on cream cardstock, embossed with clear ep, cut out, and popped up with foam tape. I added a red floral gemstone to the tree top for the final touch.
I hope to have another card or two to post later on today, so stay tuned and have a great weekend!!
