Christmas in July

I pulled out a very old Verve stamp set to create these poinsettias and fussy cut them, adding yellow glaze pen accents to the centers. I curled them a wee bit with a bone folder and popped them up on foam bits. I had a few snippets of this pretty green dsp and white cardstock, and cut them into 1" and 1-1/4" squares and placed the poinsettias on top of them. I also had a few snippets of the red dsp from the same paper pad and used that to mat the strips and main image panel. The background was embossed with a Taylored Expressions Poinsettia embossing folder and the sentiment is pre-printed from Simon Says Stamp.

I'll share this card with these challenges:

The Snippets Playground #458 - must use snippets to make a Christmas card

The Allsorts Challenge Week #736 - A/G with an embossing folder

Can You Handle the Pressure  - A/G using an embossing folder w/twist of stars

Happy Christmas in July and thanks for stopping by. Stay cool and keep smiling 😊

Carol

  10. Such fabulous design, Carol!! It's a really amazing card! The layered, curled and sparkling poinsettias are so dimensional and eye catching on the squares!!! LOVE them so much! Well done leaving all that white space on the bottom, so the sentiment could pop! Love also the two vertical panel with the lovely green/red gingham papers and the contrast with the white beautiful EF!
Also here we are melting with this hot/humid weather! Please stay cool and safe at home.
Sending big hugs and love across the miles as always, dear friend!
