While rummaging through my stash, I found a few unloved stamps I've had forever and decided it was time to give them some ink. This is a Rubber Cottage stamp (2004) that I colored with Copics and colored pencils. I colored the quilt design with red and green to turn this into a Christmas card. I added a pre-printed sentiment from SSS and used Lil Inker stitched rectangles to die-cut both the image and chocolate brown card base.
I'll share this with the following challenges:
Stamping Sensations April Challenge - Anything stamped with a CAS option
Farm Quest General Store #3 challenge - A/G Farm Country
MTTCC Challenge Theme #58 - Christmas Quote

Thanks always for stopping by and thanks also for these challenges that keep us adding to our card stash as well! Have a great day!

Great Christmas card. It's good to look through crafty items which we've had forever and bring some of them back into the limelight for an airing.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty, Carol! And that stamp is a great representation of Pennsylvania! There are barns everywhere you look except for the big cities! It reminds me of the farm that I did craft shows at for years. They recently sold that farm so i'm not sure if that barn is still standing but I love the memory of it and your card! It's colored so beautifully! Thanks for sharing! I hope your having a great day and staying cool. It's been a bit too hot for my liking.
ReplyDeleteIt's fantastic and I love this stamp as a card for Christmas too. Pure country and it doesn't get any better than that. Great coloring too.

Great Christmas card and lucky find with the stamp

The quilt design looks great and coloring in red and green was a fantastic idea to make it into a Christmas card. I rarely see a barn anymore. They have been decorated so cool in the past. It was such a treat to drive in the country and read the Burma Shave signs along the way.
ReplyDeleteWell done using your old unused stamp dear Carol, you made a beautiful card even if you don't like the stamp so much! It's so difficult to me working with not liked items, but you did it so well! Beautiful colouring!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely Sunday, here is almost evening because of the time difference :)
Big hugs and sweet thoughts to you, dear friend!
