I had quite an array of leftover valentine-themed strips of designer paper snippets, so I decided to cut them into 1/4" strips and make a herringbone panel. I placed it on a grey card base, adding an Impression Obsession wooden heart die and a PTI love die. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and I added a little heart sticker for fun. I thought using the woodgrain embossed paper for the white heart adds an element of masculinity to this card, but it can be used for anyone who enjoys valentine's day.

So pretty! You are the queen of snippets, my friend! Love how you arranged your paper pieces and the pretty design! Your wood focal point is adorable! Love this Valentine's Day card, Carol!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, Carol. You should be quilting as well as crafting with paper. I do like that woodgrain and how you added the paper to the heart in Love.
ReplyDeleteGreat way of using those strips of paper and the woodgrain effect on the heart is a good idea. The snippets pile never seems to diminish though 😉

This is all kinds of charming, sweet and beautiful, Carol.
ReplyDeletePairing red and black is both a Valentine's season and year-round favourite of mine (in fact, I am gradually finding very budget-friendly ways to weave more of these colours, along with aged gold/brass hues, into our home decor, as I am completely wild about that colour palette).
Wishing you a sweet, wonderful Valentine's Day,
