Today I have a "sending love" card that I'll be using for a valentine. I embossed the black background with a Sizzix Hearts die and then used a Simon Says Stamp stacked hearts die to cut the main panel from white card stock and red glitter paper. The sentiments were from a Catherine Pooler stamp set, fussy cut and backed with more red glitter paper.
I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

Those sparkling red hearts with their white border have a clear, peaceful and tidy deployment and pop so well from the chaotic black mixture of hearts in the background. Your card speaks to me so much as a symbolic situation. (My mind always blows away, sorry... :D ) It's a very artistic and beautiful card for Valentine!
ReplyDeleteBiggest hugs ever, my dear friend!! I too sending love to you! :)
Nicely done Valentine's card!

Perfectly stunning card for Valentine's Day. I love the heart die. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing it with us at Double D Challenge.
ReplyDeleteSo romantic.
ReplyDeleteWow that's a cracker of a Valentine's card, the black base embossed was a bold choice but it works so well with the gorgeous sparkly red.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you could enter this beauty into Color Hues where the challenge is black and red :) x
Keep your roll going, Carol, and pass the gravy! These two posts with such cheery Valentines are inspiring! Sometimes it's hard to come up with a new way to use hearts, so I appreciate it! Hugs, Darnell

This is so striking. Thanks for joining my challenge over at Cardz4galz. Love Dawn x
ReplyDeleteFantastic card! Black and red are a perpetual favourite colour combo for me (which, interestingly enough, I decided to try and inject more of into our home decor from this year onward), so that just makes me adore and enjoy this terrific greeting all the more.
