Cards with Flowers

I made a couple of cards with flowers cut with SU! Bouquet Bunch framelit dies. The flowers were already pre-cut and in my snippet box, along with assorted stems, leaves and greens so I decided it was time to put them all to use.

First up is a birthday card. I used 3 of the die-cut flowers and added a die-cut stem and leaf, attaching it all to a die-cut stitched oval, and placing it on a plum colored piece of cardstock. The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set, heat-embossed on black with white ep and trimmed into flag tails with a hexagon punch. I added some Nuvo Crystal drops to the flower centers for a little sparkle

Next up is a card with a sentiment from a brand new Gina K designs stamp set that I bought some time ago and never used. I created the clouds in the sky with Taylored Expressions stencils and some Tumbled Glass distress ink. The flower centers were dotted with Black Nuvo drops and I stamped some birds, a dragonfly, and a butterfly with Versafine Onyx black ink. The sentiment was heat-embossed on black with white ep.

Both cards are for the Twofer Challenge #4 - flowers

I'm also sharing the 2nd card with

Also sharing with the NBUS Challenge #22 - (sentiment)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope your week is off to a good start!

  2. These are so pretty, Carol! They remind me of a warm spring day which is something we could use on this cold windy day! Love the different flowers you created on the 2nd card and those super cool clouds in the sky! Well done for using up those leftover snippets! Stay warm!

  3. These tiny flowers are so cute, Carol, and love the match with the black banners and the white sentiment! Both the cards are so sweet and the stencilled one looks great with the silhouettes! I have to use more black colour in my cards! Thanks for the inspiration!

  4. What pretty flowers and a lovely reminder Spring is right around the corner. The pink against the plum makes a great colour combination, it reminds me of a buddleia. The sentiment on your trio of flowers is so endearing it just melts my heart x

I love how you made one flower from the separate die cuts and the garden is so pretty and a wonderful reminder that those flowers will be blooming again before we know it. 8. Two beautiful cards Carol! I love those little flowers and glad you got them out of the box and used them on a card. You have made a beautiful scene with the second card. Even though we haven't had a hard winter, I'm so ready for spring time to come and these cards make me think of spring. Hugs, Brenda

  12. How wonderful that you had the flowers in your bits box and were able to use them to make your gorgeous Twofer designs, Carol! I love the flower you made to be the star inside the stitched oval. It reminds me of a hyacinth and, of course, I love the touch of schparkle! And, wow, to your second design! I love the way your garden of flowers is grounded by the sediment strip, and the gorgeous sky and things with wings you added to make it complete! Thank you for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #34 and for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Take care and be safe! Hugs, Darnell

  13. Love the cards Carol. Die cuts have taken over my life lately. I have a similar flower die but the flowers are all single. Used it once but after seeing your cards, maybe it should be dusted off and used again. Beautifully done. Be safe.

    Hugs and Blessings,
    Jim
