Water Colored Birthday

I found this stamped image (Penny Black?) in my doodad box and decided it was time to color it and make it into a card. I water colored the background with several Distress inks and placed it on black cardstock. I die-cut the image panel and scalloped mat with Spellbinders dies, then die cut the Gina Marie Designs birthday sentiment twice from black and white, layering slightly off center to give it a little definition. I added a black sequin to the image panel along with colorful gemstones and tiny star sequins scattered about the card.

I'm sharing this with the Seize the Birthday Challenge which is an anything goes Birthday theme with an option topping of "sequins."

Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you a great kick-off to a new week!

Carol
