Father's Day Card

I usually make a father's day card for my husband with a horse on it, since he loves horses, but this year I thought I'd switch things up a bit. I found this digi image by the digishack called "remote Dad" in my digi folder and decided it was time for a few good laughs this father's day, so I just went with it. My husband is not a remote person by any means, but he sits in his recliner every night for a little tv watching and keeps one of those big jugs of peanut-butter filled pretzel nibs from Costco by his chair! LOL It's too heavy to carry back and forth to the kitchen, so he keeps it tightly closed right by his chair for a nightly snack. LOL I assume the image here is popcorn, but I colored it like pretzels with salt sprinkled all over! LOL  I may look for a photo of that pretzel jug and print it out and place it beside the chair before I give this to him for father's day! Hah!

(Here's the edited photo with the jug of pretzels sitting next to his chair)

I colored the image with Copics and used Razzleberry and Smoky Slate cardstock, adding 2 Quickutz die-cut corners with some patterned paper snippets that seem to match this card pretty well. Basic and simple - just the way my husband rolls :)

Since I used a couple snippets, I'll enter this into Pixie's Snippets Playground Challenge week #328

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Wednesday!

  4. OMGosh, this is to cute Carol! My husband was a "remote" man. Even fell asleep with his finger on the remote buttons. I sure hope you can get a picture of his jar and put it on the card, that would be so cute! Great job with this card for him! Hugs, Brenda

  7. Glad you found this image and it is perfect for DH with his habits. I just saw that pretzel stuff at Costco - I don't care for pretzels but the Mr does. Wasn't sure how the peanut filling would taste! Great coloring, and it is a fun card to celebrate Dad's Day for your Mr. Good job! TFS & Hugs
