Friendship

I made this card a while ago and never posted it - unsure if I like it or not? LOL The stamp set was bought from Ebay and I just created a nice peaceful scene with a tiny island and some palm trees and a tiny beach house. I went with the flow of the water, adding Copics to enhance the colors of the blue water. I'm not wild about the scene I created, but I do like the sentiment, so I will  practice  with this set again :)

I was going to share this with the Double D friendship challenge, but it's closed. I'm a day late and a dollar short :)

Thanks for checking in and here's to a great Monday as well as to good friends!

  1. I don't know why you don't like it... This scene is so beautiful, Carol!!
For me, it hasn't a so much peaceful feel, because my Mediterranean Sea is just as a floor... :D LOL But I think this place is just a surfer's paradise! :D Very impressive scene and brilliant card! And that sentiment - wow- it's just AMAZING!
    Well done!!

  3. I DO like it! It's a bit different from your style, as I don't remember you doing 'scenes' very much. You've captured the feel of the water at the beach splendidly and I like those mountains in the background. (This must be an Hawaii scene, as Florida didn't have any mountains at our beach! Artistic license I guess!) I do hope you'll use this set again, as you've done a good job with it. I also like the sentiment too. Especially apt at some times, more than others, but always true! (the bright red hut was a nice sparkler of a detail!) TFS & Hugs. Hope the week is good.

  7. It's a very peaceful scene Carol, especially if one loves the beach. So it made for one beautiful card. I do love that sentiment too, how true it is! I think you did a wonderful job on this card, so not sure what practice you would have to do. Hugs, Brenda

  11. This set makes the neatest cards and this one is awesome, Carol! I think when you first use it it's a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it it makes some beauties! I have had this set since it came out and only used it twice. Your card reminds me of a scene in Hawaii! Absolutely beautiful, my friend! :)

  12. I like that sentiment too! I don't do well with scene builder sets at all or with solid image sets and this combines both. Great job!
