Today I have a card to share that includes more NBUS. The gold panel was cut with another die from the Tim Holtz Mixed Media set, and the red panel was embossed with a new Tim Holtz Stencil called Bubble. I lined the gold panel with red cardstock, and then sponged it with Marmalade and Mustard Distress inks. I die cut a Cheery Lynn flourish in black and then added punched flowers done with SU! mini punches. The red side has larger gold flowers with red smaller flowers, and on the gold panel the flower colors were reversed. {click picture to enlarge} The gold panel has red gemstones, while the red panel has gold gemstones in the flower centers. The sentiment is another NBUS from an older SU! set called A Round Array, and it was white heat embossed on black. It says "K is for Kindness" and was cut with a matching SU! 7/8" scalloped punch matted with a 1" punched circle of gold cardstock, while the scalloped circle was cut with a SB die. I distressed all the edges to give it a worn look.
I didn't use the optional theme "hidden word" that Darnell was suggesting for her 9th NBUS challenge because my attempts ended up getting tossed in the trash! Some techniques are just beyond me and that was one of them, so I'm just entering a card made with lots of NBUS!
If you want to play along, just click the graphic above and it will take you to Darnell's NBUS#9 challenge. It closes January 29th.
Thanks for stopping by and K really is for kindness - something this world needs a lot more of!

Beautiful card Carol, I love all the distressing! That's a diecut that I haven't used in awhile I need to dig it out. I tend to use it in pieces but like how you used it.
Wicked cool card! Great colors too. I like how you added all the flowers to that flourish. It gives it a whole new look.
Love this Carol The edges are fabulous Lis
Stunning effect on this card with your design, Carol!! Love it! The reversed flowers make it very interesting, such a brilliant work! Love the textures you achieved with the TH stencil and the vibrant colours of the panels that contrast with the black! The distressed edges are a fab detail! Another gorgous make, full of details!
So happy you posted this. I really love it! The colors wow me!
OMGosh, I am so loving this card Carol! I love the distressed look of it so much! I am also loving these new dies you are using from TH. I haven't seen them, but I am loving what you are doing with them. I also love, love, love the color combo of this card. Love how you did the flourish, flowers.....well as you can tell I am loving every little thing on this card! I have that abc stamp set too that you used for your sentiment and I love how you have used it. Yep, so loving this one! Hugs, Brenda
AWESOME colours here Carol, love what you have made and love your butterfly card below, amazing colours there. xx{aNNie}
Beautiful colour combination and just love the way you have transpossed the flowers. Hugs Mrs A.
You may not have hidden the word die, but this is outstanding with what you have done. Doesn't need a die word at all IMHO. I like the duet of colors and the embossing treatment very much. The distressed edges add a lot of texture along with the embossing, and I love the pop of the black flourish and the posies in the layout colors. One of your best (well, aside from your quilt cards, which you know I love!) TFS
Royal color combination! Beautiful design, reverse colors on the card gives an amazing effect.
hugs,

This is quite unique! This must've taken you a while! So much detail and colors
WOW, Carol, this is spectacular and it clearly was a lot of work! Way to go! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who struggled with that hidden word and I appreciate that you gave it a try. Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #9! Thank you, too, for all your kind get well wishes! Hugs, Darnell
