Taking the Chicks for a Ride


Sorry for the dark photo today - it's finally raining in PA so I had no sunshine for a decent picture. You won't hear me complaining because we needed rain badly!

I stamped this Penny Black "for a spin" image and colored it with Tombows and Copics in some bright colors. I added 3 different coordinating designer paper panels for the background, adding a punched scalloped border to the center panel. I used a SU! word window punch for the tabs, adding a MFP sentiment and some mini brads. The sun was done with a Lil Inker die, and I added a metallic red sticker to the center. The 3 little doo-dads on the left side were negative bits from a SSS Pinpoint border die.

I'm entering this card into the Penny Black Saturday challenge for September which is to use 3 or more designer papers.

I'm also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge which is to use a stamp and join the blog hop - I used a PB rubber stamp.

    I love all the papers you went with here today. The image is darling and colored so nicely. Those doo-dads were the perfect size and shape for that panel. Something so little can add so much. Enjoy the rain, we are getting it also today and tomorrow. Right now it is just sprinkling but it is suppose to rain much harder later on.

    That's a great mix on the three pieces of patterned paper and the image is just Oh So CUTE!!! Love your card Carol - doodads and all. It may be cloudy and rainy there but your card is like a bright sunny day!

    Also here the sun has gone away... There are many clouds and rain lightly, for now.
    This cow is so fun! And love your three dp panels with the one scalopped in the middle. They matches very beautifully! Lovely sun, too!

    A delightfully amusing image here Carol, and lovely patterned papers.
    I am happy for to be enjoying some rain today. Our weather has turned very autumnal lately, although there has been some nice sunshine this week and today has been quite nice and warm.
