Today's card features a tea bag folded flower made with BG dsp that I've had for ages and wanted to use. The designs on the paper were so busy, random and colorful, and although it was pretty, I had no clue how to use it. My goal this year has been to sort through my stash of unloved papers and stamped images and use them! I finally decided maybe a big flower would make good use of this dsp, so I began cutting and folding to make the flower. I die cut the button in the center with a snippet of matching dsp, using my Big Shot and an I.O. button die. I wove some twine through the holes and adhered it to the center with tacky glue. I added a double-punched butterfly done with Punch-a-Bunch punches, and added some gemstones to the center. The sentiment is by SU! and the papers are all from BG.
I googled tea bag folding to find a tutorial for making these flowers. There are many different versions, but I chose a simple one.
I'm entering this into the Cuttlebug Mania challenge for April which is "Button Up" - use a die cutting machine along with a button(s). I'm also sharing it at the Snippets Playground #173 - to use snippets.
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a sunny Wednesday!
