Rudolph's Nose

I have a fun card I made for one of my DGD's that includes Rudolph with his shiny red nose. I used the SU! owl punch for Rudolph's head. I added some googlie eyes, antlers (made with a Quickutz Chick die) and a 1/2" circle punch covered with glossy accents and popped up on foam tape for his nose.  I added a snippet of striped dsp to the SU! chalktalk framelit tag and tied on some red ribbon and peppermint twine. The card base, dsp and red panels were done with Lil Inker stitched rectangles and I added a fun sentiment done with an old wooden stamp I've had for years............I think I found it in a Michael's dollar bin way back when.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Christmas / Holidays

ScrapyLand Challenge #7 - anything goes using a brand of die that Scrapy Land sells ( I used a Quickutz chick die for Rudolph's antlers)

Snippets Playground #154 - must use snippets

Thanks for dropping by again today, and I wish you a wonderful Wednesday!

Carol

  7. Rudolph's head! That's such a clever idea with the owl punch. You know I'm trying to think of if I have something that will work for antlers so I can make one too. This card is definitely a winner!

  11. This is a darling card Carol and I think your DGD will love it too! I love how clever you were with making Rudolph out of the owl punch, he sure turned out cute!! Stay warm and I hope you don't get to much of the white stuff they are calling for. We are only supposed to get a dusting to nothing. Doesn't hurt my feelings because Bret is driving home tomorrow morning. Hugs, Brenda

  12. Saw this one, and started to smile. The owl punch made a perfect Rudy, and I am loving the red nose & antlers. Nifty stitching on the red (looks like felt,?maybe textured paper?). You always manage to have just the perfect go-with dp. DGD will love it too. TFS & Hugs
