Grandma's Attic
Here's a feminine card I made using the GinaK Stately Flowers 6 stamp set. I stamped this beautiful rose image on vanilla cardstock, and colored it with Copics to match the GinaK wild orchid cardstock. I die cut it with a SB Nestabilities Beaded Ovals, lightly coloring the beads with a Copic marker before removing from the die. I wove some vanilla twine around the frame, and added a paper doily behind the image. The borders were done with an EK Flower Burst lg edger punch. I decided to leave this card without a sentiment until I need to use it, because this would make a nice mother's day, Easter, or birthday card too!
I'm entering this into the following challenges:
Mod Squad - Grandma's Attic - use a doily
ScrapyLand #5 - Use any die ScrapyLand Sells (Spellbinders Nestabilities Beaded oval)
Thanks for stopping by today and I wish you the best day ever!

ReplyDeleteLove so much this feminine look, and the vanilla twine makes the oval very interesting, as also the light pink beads. I have never colouring a detail before removing the diecut... Thanks for sharing this idea!

ReplyDeleteYou know I love roses, so this is one special image for me! Your coloring is perfection and the beaded oval is just THE right die to show the gorgeous rose. Ditto that lacey delicate doily in the background. Loved the EK edger die as well. This one needs to go a very special lady, as it is definitely a most feminine & genteel card. Love the lacing detail through the die too. TFS & Hugs.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I love your treatment of the beaded oval die cut - the twine and the colouring of the beads look fabulous! The doily behind it really sets it off! I have this die and was never quite happy with it - you have inspired me to use it again!
