Here's one more card I made today for the OWH Sketch challenge #206. I used Echo Park dsp with crumb cake & black. I outlined the circle dies with a fine black marker to define them against the busy background papers, and added 3 tiny punched hearts done with the SU! owl punch. The sentiment is from the SU! well scripted set, and the ribbon is from my LSS.
Thanks for stopping by once again on this busy card making day :) I'm in full Valentine card making mode with the icy weather outside!
Make it a great week ahead!!

Great sketch and such pretty papers, Carol. I love the "Well Scripted" set....one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteGreat card!
Ohhh, I so love your color and paper choices. I really love pink, gray and black together! Great little tip to outline the circles with black marker, really does help to make them stand out. Love your tweak on the sketch, Thanks for playing along and sharing!

Carol, that crumb and black with the red is just stunning. I have always adored the font on that sentiment. You put together a very sweet card. Hope your upcoming week is a fun one. It rained all night a took away a lot of our snow and we didn't even get to make our snowman. Boo hoo! We are in the 50's today and by Wednesday it will be 8 degrees in the morning. Nice today, Brrr for Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty, Carol! I love all of the details, and the little hearts worked just perfectly as accents to your sentiment.!
ReplyDeletePretty card...Maybe If I sit down and try a valentine's card...I will get back into the mood of card making...I know I am tired of making Christmas cards...so I think the people I missed sending Christmas cards to will get Valentine's card instead of New Year's as I had planned to do...(besides I can make them in Pink...as you know...is my favorite color)...Keep Warm, Carol...
ReplyDeleteI had to come check this out and see if you really used 9 layers on it. I'm not going to count but it's looking good. It's a great card design. A good way to use up the this's and the that's we all have lying around.
ReplyDeleteOK...you're right...this one is definitely YOUR style! I love it. All those fab layers, paper and great layout design. You combine those patterns so well, with all the different shapes. Perfection! Loved both your CAS & this one too. Hugs
ReplyDeleteSimply adorable card. I love all the patterns, textures and embellishments. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Carol, and I'm loving those papers. My favorite thing is the clever way you have the center sentiment half matted with the black. Wow, that caught my eye right away. Thanks for playing!
ReplyDeleteJust a beautiful card...the colors are fantastic and that sentiment is wonderful. Thanks for sharing!
