You Make Me Smile :)

Here's this week's OWH Stars and Stamps sketch challenge #167...

And here is this week's Dynamic Duos DD#47  color challenge...

I put both challenges together and came up with this. The patterned paper is from the LilyBee Handmade paper pad, while the stamp is from the SU! Round Array set. I used SU! Cherry Cobbler ribbon, along with an assortment of SU! punches, including the new 7/8" scallop punch. I pierced around the edges of the larger scalloped punch just for fun, and scored 1/4" in on the white cardstock on all sides. I added a Quickutz corner to balance things out since this looked too busy on the bottom.

I hope you're having a great Sunday doing something you enjoy!

  2. LOVE!!! Everything about it is so wonderful -- the cheery paper, the colors, raised sentiment, the border edge, the ribbon (which I tried and couldn't make work) and the final touch, that little corner at the top. Fabulous card!

  4. Wow two challenges for the price of one. Good for you. I just realized that we both went with the same set up for our circular element. I like the added touch of the photo corner. That scallop is probably my favorite of all that is out there. Have a great day.

  11. Very pretty...great papers and design. Love the border and punch work.
Great weekend here. Got a lot of yard work done. It's still beautiful so I'll probably get back outside today and trim some dead off my perennial ferns. The fiddleheads are really coming on beautifully.

  15. Lovely card. I like the way you recreated the look of the punch by poking holes and scoring. My favorite is the corner edge... no the flower... well, just all of it!
