Sending Love Your Way

Here's my card for the OWH Stars & Stamps mid-week throwdown challenge to make a love & hugs card. I used a retired SU! set for the hearts, and a G studio stamp for the sentiment. The punched border was done with an EK bricked punch, and the red edge was a left-over negative piece from die cutting a scalloped border. It just looked good on the edge and rather than toss it in the trash can, I added it to the card. The finishing touch was a red gemstone.

Thanks for stopping by today and I wish you a great week ahead!

Carol

  2. I'm glad you didn't throw that piece in the trash. It finished off this beautiful card in just the right way. I just used that same SU set the other day for a card. I like it more now than when I got it. The brickwork is really nice and also adds quite a bit to this card. A job well done my friend.

  6. Love this card! Some day, I hope to find some time to create...now I just want to get my shopping done and find time to rest and relax.

Today, I'm missing the kids something awful...very melancholy day! I guess that's from listening to Christmas tunes on my iPad!
