I made a tri-fold shutter card using Sandy's new template which allows for more room to write inside. I'm entering this card into the Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge #136 to make a Christmas card without traditional red & green colors. I used shades of purple, blue and grey and some gorgeous papers from the Echo Park winter wishes dsp pad. I just love these gorgeous designs and elements and the colors sing to me :) The images and sentiments were done with G studio stamps, and I added some felt snowflakes and a few brads, along with some diamond stickles here and there.
If you click the link above, you'll find a template for the old type tri-fold shutter card, along with Sandy's new one. I really like the fact that this card fits perfectly inside an A2 envelope! Yay!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great week!
Carol
Another WOW card! Love the tri fold and the colors you used! I would have never thought to use a little purple with the blue and yet it's beautiful!

This is super pretty, Carol. Those papers ARE gorgeous. I love the inside paper. Your felt snowflakes are so pretty. Great color choices as it still has the winter/Christmas feel without the normal colors. Enjoy your beautiful day tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI have never made one of these, but I sure am itching to try now. This is just adorable, Carol. Purple and aqua is one of my very favorite winter color combos!
ReplyDeleteI really like your card and the colors that you used. I like the tri shutter cards and have made several, but I didn't like the fact that they were hard to write a note inside. I like Sandy's version a lot and want to give it a try, thanks for sharing the link.
