PSC33 Masculine Card

I played along with the Perfect Sentiments Challenge Blog #33 this week to create a masculine themed card without using designer paper. As long as I have embossing folders, I can get by without using pretty papers :) I'm trying to use up some of my older supplies, so I used some SU! retired colors for the 3 panels - soft suede, bermuda bay, and crushed curry. I liked the way they looked together, so I just embossed them with a CB herringbone ef. The sentiment is by MFP and was layered on 2 different SB grommet tags and attached with gold brads. This came together very quickly, so I'll be making a lot of these cards for my next OWH box in assorted colors and themes. It's also a great way to use up those retired colors so I can start to think about the new colors coming out next week :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend!

  1. So CAS and yet so busy!!! If I look at the background for a stretch it starts to move on me! {grin} It's amazing the difference that the texture from embossing makes and you make it look so easy!

  9. Love those colors! They work so well together. One of the new techniques my SU demonstrator showed me was putting 2 layers of paper thru an embossing folder at the same time. The papers mash together & look like one piece! pretty cool. Thanks for playing with us @ The Perfect Sentiment.

  10. Super 'Dad' card and I love the colors. Gosh, I forgot I have that herringbone folder..haven't used it in a while.

BTW, I didn't mean you can't find the Cuttlebug anymore, but it seems they are all the wide carriage.
