Stars & Stamps sketch challenge #108

Here is this week's sketch #108 for the Stars and Stamps blog...

and here is the card I made. I added another panel because I just couldn't seem to make the sketch work otherwise. I used an Inkadinkado cardinal image, colored with Copics, sponged with Antique Linen ink, edged with a black marker and then die cut using Spellbinders labels eighteen. The music background was done with a $1 stamp I found at Michaels, and the sentiment was done with a Northwoods stamp in Cherry Cobbler ink. The card stock is a cream-colored textured linen beauty that was sent to me by my friend Heidi last week. I embossed the horizontal panels with a SU! square lattice ef, while I made the vertical border with a MS arch lattice punch. A little snippet of ribbon finished this card.
Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday, and thanks for stopping by!

Carol

  3. Yes, that really is beautiful card stock - and so is your card. Love the way you used the sheet music DP on here and I really think Cherry Cobbler is one of my very favorite colors!

  7. Beautiful, Carol! I have to check Michael's for that music stamp. I really like that. Your image is awesome. The only way it could look better is if that bird was perched on a tree in my back yard with a big snow on the ground. LOL
