Lattice Dimensional

Julie created a tutorial for making a lattice dimensional card over on the Stars & Stamps blog for another birthday bash challenge today. I gave it a shot and ended up with 2 Christmas cards. I used some ruby red metallic papers to create the frame, sentiment panel and mat. I added some silver metallic punched snowflakes inside of the "window" along with some Geo Sparklers snowflake stickers. The white panel was embossed with a sizzix ef, and the sentiment was computer generated. Sorry about the glare, I couldn't seem to eliminate it.
This card was my first attempt at the challenge! LOL The lattice work was too close together and almost completely covered the image, so I snipped them off and just left the framework around the embossed image to stand alone. I thought this would make a nice Christmas card just the way it is, so I added some liquid applique to the embossed image for a little interest and contrast. I used a Spellbinders labels eighteen to create the frames for both cards and a CB ef for the image on this one.
It's still raining here in PA, so it was another afternoon of stamping fun :) Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all enjoy your Tuesday!

Oh my goodness, these are beautiful! First, just the red/white combo is stunning, but that technique is awesome! I always forget to check out that section on SCS!

Carol, these are both so pretty!! The first one is like looking through a lattice window at the snow falling! And I love the red & white combo. Great job!

Carol, both of your cards are great. You did a great job on the lattace work and the snowflakes look so nice in the background on your first card. I love the second card. The liquid applique is just the right touch for this scene. Wonderful job on both. Talk to you soon.

Our rain finally stopped and we got sunshine but about a 30 degree drop in temps. Yuck!
