Ahhh, Retirement Time!

I had a friend ask me to make her a retirement card for one of her co-workers which really stumped me for a while, because I don't have any retirement stamps or sentiments! Eventually I thought of my original Just-Rite stamper and pulled it out to create the circular panel. For this one, I let the beautiful Memory Box Gossamer papers do all the work for me. I added some SU! retired chocolate satin ribbon, and dotted the scalloped circle with a brown marker to help it stand out from the pale pink papers. I added a pink flower and a pink & brown padded brad that perfectly matched everything, and this card was done! I computer generated a sentiment for the inside, but forgot to take a picture of it before it was delivered.
Have a wonderful Friday and thanks for stopping by!

  1. Love the card - you're right the papers are amazing! Had to smile when you shared that you picked a retired ribbon color! Hopefully your spring tree branch will help bring back the warm weather!

  5. Carol This is quite an elegant card. I love pink and brown. Those papers are gorgeous. The flower, the brad, the dots around the scalloped circle, everything just beautiful. I would expect nothing less form you LOL Have a good weekend. I'm going to a Garden Club meeting tonight, but it seems strange to talk about gardening when it is so cold out.
