Sweet Always Quilt

Good Sunday Morning everyone. I recently discovered Lisa Freeman's blog post to make a quilt card with the top note die from SU! I couldn't wait to make one myself, so in my normal rush to get things done, I didn't follow her instructions precisely, and my quilt is a bit unbalanced as you can tell. You're supposed to use 12 squares and I used 16. {DUH!} I will definitely do this one again the correct way, because I love the look of it. I'm down to just a few scraps of this fantastic Sweet Always dsp from SU, and what better way to use it up than with a quilt card? The sentiment stamp is from the very last page of the current SU! catalog and I love this one! I'm really fond of these single stamps and might have to order another one soon. The card base is Pink Pirouette and the ribbon is Regal Rose. I stamped and matted the sentiment panel with Chocolate Chip.
I suppose I'll be stamping the day away since NASCAR is off this week. Sunday afternoons just aren't the same without a good race to watch - but then there's Bristol next week. There's always excitement galore at Bristol!
Have a wonderful Sunday whatever you're doing, and thanks for stopping by :)

Carol

  1. I wouldn't worry about the number of squares. Your card is adorable as it is, and I love those colors! Great dp, and I really like that sentiment!
