Black and White Sympathy Card

Welcome to the first weekend in August! It's a rainy Saturday morning - the perfect kind of day to stay in your jammies and craft the day away!
Today I have a sympathy card done in black and white. I embossed the white panel with a TH Damask embossing folder, and die-cut the Serendipity Sympathy sentiment in both black & white, matting with the black to make it stand out against the white background. The word "with" - is a stamp included with the die and it was heat-embossed on black with white embossing powder. The ribbon is retired from SU! and that's all there was to making this easy but elegant sympathy card.

I'm sharing it with the Dies R Us challenge #102 which is to use only the colors of black and white.

Thanks for checking in and I hope your weekend is a great one!

Absolutely beautiful Carol! Gorgeous embossing and love how you've shadowed the 'sympathy' word. Nicely done! Thanks so much for playing in our ‘Black & White’ challenge at Dies R Us. Good Luck and please come back again soon!

It's really elegant, the stamped word is just perfect with the shadow of the diecut sentiment, very striking! The embossing is just gorgeous and the bow adds sweetness! Even if your card was easy to do and quick, it came out very beautiful!! :) Well done!

I love using pretty embossing folders for Sympathy cards. They are so clean and elegant. Love the die cut word instead of stamping. Sun has finally came out here this afternoon. Sure am tired of ALL the rain we've had this Spring/Summer. Hope all is well. Sorry I've been MIA will try to get around a but more! Have a great weekend!

There is just something about a back & white card! This is very pretty and perfect for a sympathy card. Sometimes I find this type of card a struggle to create but this is so tasteful, Carol. Love the embossed panel and your diecut panel. A job well done! TFS

This sympathy card is amazing. A great contrasting card. I love embossing on white, it looks so amazing, and black shades in sentiment make the word pop up it. I love how it tied this ribbon. A beautiful sympathy card
