Happy July 4th!

Today in the US we celebrate our country's freedom by honoring the red, white, and blue along with fireworks that light up the night sky.
I made a card in celebration of July 4th and used the patriotic colors of our US flag. The top portion was embossed with a tiny stars ef by Darice. The middle panel was made by cutting 3 Simon Says Stamp star borders from all 3 colors and then inlaying the red and blue stars on the white background. The lower portion of the card was done with a Winnie & Walter Sparkle stamp set, embossed with gold, silver, red, and white embossing powders. The Celebrate sentiment was heat-embossed with white on navy and done with a stamp from SU!'s Amazing You set; then cut with a SNSS ticket die. For the final touch I added some tiny silver, clear, and white sequin stars all over the card.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge - red, white, and/or blue

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - red, white, and/or blue

the Paper Players PP400 - Celebration theme challenge

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a safe and happy July 4th if you're celebrating today

Carol

Love this fine patriotic card. Love the embossing on the red, and intricate inlay on the 2nd panel. Love that pattern paper too. Amazing that you used SU stamps to create this, as at first I thought was a piece of paper. Looks very schparkly, as Our Darnell would say. TFS & Hugs. Ya'll stay cool.

What a fun and festive card Carol! I love anything red, white and blue. Love this one as it is really celebrating the 4th perfectly. Hope you are having a good 4th, not sure if you are getting any storms. It is "loud" here, but no rain yet. Looks like from the radar it is all around us, but not hitting us. lol Funny how wet we were and now dry we are now! The grass is getting brown areas now. Crazy how it can be after all that rain! Stay cool, stay dry and stay safe. Happy 4th of July Carol! Hugs, Brenda

Very nicely done card, Carol, Hope you enjoyed the holiday. We were just thankful that our A/C is working with all this heat. We just stayed indoors today, and had an almost quiet day! (Except for all the fireworks, etc...that were being set off in our neighborhood...smile)
