50th Anniversary card

I was asked to make a 50th Wedding Anniversary card for a friend, and this is what I came up with. It's a wonky photo, because the mirror gold just doesn't cooperate with my camera at all! I started with a vanilla textured cardbase, adding a gold panel that was embossed with a retired Sizzix folder. I die-cut a SU! bloomin' heart from the vanilla, as well as a heart done with a stitched heart die. The 50, anniversary banner and "th" bitty banner were all done with SU! Large Number Framelit dies and Number of Years stamps. The "th" was done with stamps from MFT and heat-embossed with gold ep.

Here's the inside, done with SU! Bouquet Bunch framelit dies and SU! beautiful bouquet stamps. I used the stitched heart die again, and then heat-embossed all the sentiments with gold ep.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your weekend is treating you well!

Carol

A lovely card - mirror card doesn't photograph or scan well but it always looks impressive in real life which is the important thing.

What an elegant and stunning 50th Wedding Anniversary card Carol! I love the embossing and I adore that teeny tiny banner. So cute! The heart is so lovely and I love how you did the inside. I'm sure the happy couple will adore it as much as I do! Hugs, Brenda

Thanks for your kind comments when you visit my blog. Pixie powders are much like Brushos or other dry pigment but most of them have some mica in them as well which gives them an extra sheen when dry. A little goes a very long way.

A gorgeous look, and actually your photo looks quite good, considering the mirror c/s is so hard to photo. Love the embossing. What I REALLY like though, is the perfect & so true sentiment you've embossed on the inside with the heart shape. I think too many youngsters don't realize the truth of the 2nd part of that statement! It ain't easy to stay in love, day-to-day - with 2 different personalities, who sometimes can aggravate each other after a long time together! Very special card, Carol. TFS & Hugs
