Heartfelt Thoughts

I got this SU! Heartfelt Thoughts stamp set recently and just wasn't sure how to use it. It isn't an outline stamp, but I wanted to add some color to it, so I stamped it with a light tan ink, and got my Derwent pencils out to add some life to the flowers with color. After I colored the flowers, I took a Copic marker and went around the outside edges, and then covered the whole panel with Versafine Ink and clear embossed it which brought out the colors even more. As a finishing touch, I added some Nuvo clear glitter drops for a little sparkle. The sentiment came from the same stamp set, and I put this on a pool party card base.

I'm entering this into the Double D May Flowers Challenge which includes the following mood board for inspiration...

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a great Friday.

Great colouring on the flowers and just love the blue edges around the outside of them! A different design that looks fabulous with the Nuovo Drops!
Hugs!

I have that stamp too and never thought about doing the way you did. I love it too! It looks amazing with a varied colored bouquet instead of one solid color like I did it before.

Very pretty, Carol! Isn't it great when things all come together? Lovely stamp and coloring. Mine did not come out quite so pastel.
