TMS #448

Another Tuesday has rolled around which means it's time for the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge. This time we're working on sketch #448 designed by our own DT member Janice. I thought of making a masculine card as soon as I saw this sketch for some reason and here's what I created...

I had a few pieces of this great plaid dsp by CTMH on my table from a previous project, and felt it would make a great masculine card. The image is by Clear Art Stamps and was colored with Copics and a silver marker, then die-cut with a MFT stitched circle die. I added a dab of glossy accents to the headlamps. The flags are stamps from the same set, stamped and fussy cut and placed underneath the circle. The square panel was done with a piece of matching dsp from the same CTMH collection, die-cut with GMD square stitched dies, and the sentiment is from SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes. The plaid panel is a scrap of coordinating cardstock embossed with a Sizzix plaid ef. The
Still Cruisin is part of the Clear Art Stamps set, while the word Dad came from a now retired MFP stamp set. I finished this card with 3 gold nailhead stickers and was quite happy with how this turned out. My husband is a die-hard Ford man, so I know there are others out there too who will enjoy this card for father's day.

Please take some time to check out my DT member's blogs to see what they made, you won't be sorry!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Tuesday!

Carol

I have that Clear Arts stamp set, and haven’t used it in a long time. I had a lot of happy male card recipients from it though, with the fun car sentiments. I love your card and it looks awesome with that plaid paper!

Love this plaid as a background for the cool old Ford. The embossed border strip is a perfect look with this vintage car, and some lucky guy is going to just really dig this card. TFS & happy weekend. Hope the knee is doing a little better. Hugs
