8th Birthday Card

Today is my DGD's birthday and I've sent her this card to help her celebrate. Her favorite colors are purple and pink, so I've used them here with a little touch of blue to balance things out. The cake image is a dollar stamp I've had for eons, and I stamped it on a water colored panel, then die-cut it with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle, and matted it with black. I colored the cake with glaze pens, fluorescent Copics, and some golden stickles to add sparkle to the candles. The word HAPPY was done with an Echo Park Happy Easter die, while the birthday was done with a Gina Marie Designs Birthday die. The blue Lawn Fawn plaid dsp panel was hand cut and I added some lavender and aqua enamel stars from TE. The pink twine was from my stash, and the number 8 was cut with my Quickutz die and matted with a punched 1/2" circle. The purple card base is by Lawn Fawn.

I'm entering the following challenges:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Sparkle & Shine

Seize the Birthday - Vibrant Colors

the Snippets Playground #324 - use snippets

Thanks for being patient with me and my not-so-frequent posts of late. I'm still dealing with knee issues that have slowed me down big-time. Hopefully this will be resolved soon! Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!
