Cool Christmas

I was recently gifted with this super cute and fun Stampendous stamp and die set by a thoughtful blogger (MiamiKel) and couldn't wait to make a card with it. I stamped the penguin and colored him with Copics, then stamped and colored the sweater and cap before die-cutting them and adding them. I found the remainder of an old set of papers from CTMH that I'd forgotten about and used 2 panels of them, stamping the snowflakes that came with the set at the top of each panel with white pigment ink. If you click the photo to enlarge you can see them a little better. I added a stitched hillside and some stitched snowflakes from Lawn Fawn and used one of the sentiments from the stamp set and called this one done.

I'm sharing this with the February Rudolph days challenge which is always about Christmas. The challenge begins on the 25th and ends when the month does. Since February is a short month, I knew I needed to get this one entered in a timely manner, so I'm an early bird for once :)

I'm also sharing it with the Happy Little Stampers February Christmas challenge which is "anything goes" with an optional twist of adding hearts. I didn't add any hearts but if you look at this cute little guy's face, you'll see a heart :)

Thanks for stopping by and I'm hoping for a little sunshine one day soon! We've had the drearies with rain for 4 solid days now and I'm starting to miss that big old sun way too much!

Carol

How kind Bloggers can be, and what a sweet gift MiamiKel sent to you. He's adorable. Love how you've done the sweater, as it looks very much like a textile. It's a wonderful presentation of a cute penguin and the plaid dp also looks very much like winter fabric! The stitched snowflakes are just the perfect embellie to create this wintery ensemble! (we have dreary today as well, a little rain, but after our pretty days of sunshine, can't complain!) TFS & Hugs
