Here's a birthday card I made recently for a sweet blogging friend. I began with a retired SU! Fabulous Flowers stamp set. I colored the big flower with Copics, clear embossed it, and then fussy cut it, placing it on top of many ferns and branches made with lots of dies from my stash. The background was embossed with a Taylored Expressions Cable Knit ef with pastel pink cardstock. I placed it on a SU! Berry Burst cardbase and heat embossed the SNSS birthday sentiment panels with white ep, adding some Nuvo pink glitter drops here and there on the card for a touch of sparkle.
I'm going to share this with the Shopping our Stash challenge #334 which is "GAH! PINK!!!" - a tribute to the late Lesley Hanna. She was a cardmaker and blogger who was so much fun, and yet she just hated the color pink. She suddenly left this world on Christmas day 2 years ago, and I'm glad she is still remembered through this challenge blog. I miss her wicked sense of humor and talents for creating great cards. I can visualize her looking down on all of these pink cards made in her honor and grinning :)
Have a great day and remember to give hugs to those you love - life is too short!
