Milestone Birthday

My family reunion is coming up in a couple weeks, and my cousin is celebrating his 75th birthday, so I made this card for him. I used some GinaK blue raspberry cardstock to make the die-cut MFT fishtail banner, then matted it with white. The numbers were die cut with SU! number dies. The GMD birthday sentiment was cut twice in black and matching blue colors, and I layered one over the other, moving slightly to add dimension. The dsp is from a big black and white paper pad I bought that had no cover, so I have no idea who makes it, but the numbers seemed perfect for a birthday card. For the final touch I added some clear, blue, and black gemstones randomly.

On a fun note, my cousin and I share the same birthday, but he's older than me so I always hold that over his head :) My husband and I also share the same birthday, and his cousin also shares the same birthday so all 4 of us celebrate on the same day! September is a good month :)

I'm sharing this with the Seize the Birthday challenge which is to use the ocean colors of blue, green, or aqua.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Monday!

Carol

Great masculine card for your cousin, surely he will love it! The sentiment has a fab dimension with the two layers!

A super masculine card, I like the numbered background paper and the die cut greeting. What a coincidence to have four people in the one family sharing the same birthday. A good reason to party though.

What a great card! I'm sure he'll love it! My Dad, cousin and oldest son all share the same birthday! That's kinda cool when stuff like that happens.
