Valentine Snippets

Here are a couple Valentines I made with snippets of cardstock. This one was done in shades of blue. I simply glued down strips of dsp on a scrap piece of cardstock in a herringbone pattern, then die-cut it with a SSS heart & thank-you die, added a SNSS sentiment and called this one done.

This was done with pink snippets, and I had enough of the herringbone pattern left to die-cut a smaller heart using a SU! framelit die.

Wishing you all a happy Valentine's day......it's right around the corner now :)

Great use of your snippets!! So clever putting them in a herringbone pattern and diecut in heart shapes! Well done!

Both cards are SO pretty, Carol! I have never done this technique and everytime I see one of your pretty cards done with it I kick myself for it! This technique really gives each card a different look. I love these diecut with the hearts too! Very cool idea! Have a great day even though it's a dreary one! I bet you can't wait for racing to start up! I know Ryan is excited for it!

Oh my gosh these are adorable!! They look just like little mini quilts! I have a bag of scraps but not sure I have enough colors that blend as nice as yours do! I'll keep saving them though. Thanks for sharing your beautiful art work!

Oh I love this one and I haven't made a card for Jack yet and he is a "less is more" type guy so I think I will have to CASE your card. Thanks because my MoJo has gone and left me so this was a BIG help.

Perfect snippets card and SO PRETTY! Love the direction of the pieces on paper in the heart and of course that CAS look!
Sorry I haven't been around this week. Life got in the way - and will be in the way once again this coming week, but worse! Will be back when I can.

What fun you have with strips of paper. I had forgotten I meant to do something similar with washi tape this year.... well, there's always next!
