Calling All Nurses

We know someone who was leaving their waitressing job to go to nursing school, so I felt compelled to make her a card to wish her well in her new career. I used SU! owl and bird punches to create this little nurse. I added the bird punch wings to the owl and perched her on a MB woodland branch die cut, then sponged in some sky with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. The little sun was die-cut with a Lil Inker small stitched sun, while the center was cut with a Poppystamps stitched Holly Berries and Leaves die and a tiny snippet of orange cardstock. For the nurses cap, I just punched a circle and sponged the edges, cutting it down to fit between the owl's ears; then added a red cross with a SU! mini flower punch. The tag was done with a G studio stamp and edged with a brown marker for definition, then fussy cut and attached.

I'm sharing this with the Tuesday Throwdown challenge TT332 which is "things with wings."

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you make this your best day yet!

Carol

I wish your friend great success in her new venture. This card will give her a lift on those hard school days. It is just as cute as can be and I love the way you used both of those punches to make that studious owl. Nice sky work also. Wishing you a great day.

This is so clever! And cute. Tell your student nurse friend that what happens in clinicals, stays in clinicals. We lose many a nurse for posting patient info on social media.
