Anniversary Rose

The card I'm sharing today was made for the Double D Challenges 1 year Anniversary. They have the following mood board from which we're supposed to base our cards...

I began with a black piece of cardstock and embossed some script lines on it with a PTI stamp and white embossing powder.  The rose from GinaK Stately Flowers 6 was colored with Copics and die cut with a GinaMarieDesigns stitched oval, then matted with a SB scalloped oval die cut in black. The pale pink banner was embossed with a CB decorative tiles ef, and the tiny flowers were done with SU mini punches, having colored the larger ones with a matching Copic to the rose. The card base and banner were done with Bazzill Basics card stock. The sentiment is a sticker from Stampendous and black gemstones were the final touch to finish this card.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Carol

Great take on the challenge, Carol. This is a very romantic looking card. Did you get snow? We got 6 inches yesterday and are getting 6-10 inches today. Jack is a happy boy. LOL Enjoy your weekend.

This is a beautiful card, Carol! Love the color combo and that gorgeous rose! So many wonderful details on your card...it's wonderful! Snowing here this morning and boy is it ever cold! I just mentioned to Shawn about a quick trip to the store but I am quickly changing my mind. My back really doesn't like this cold weather. TFS and stay warm, my friend!
PS. Shawn said Thank You for the adorable card. I tell you, it brought a smile to his face and he loved that bulldog! Thank you for the well wishes, Carol!!
