Sympathy Card

Unfortunately, I had to make a sympathy card just before Christmas as my husband lost a good friend 2 days ago. I used a Wordsworth by Rubber Soul sympathy stamp on white with Versamark, and heat-embossed it with gold ep; adding some little butterflies done with a (R) SU! Sizzlet and some gold-embossed cardstock. The gold ribbon is (R) from SU! and the embossed background was done with a Sizzix damask ef. I added black mats for contrast and quickly got this one into the mail. It makes my heart heavy to have to make sympathy cards just before Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you're staying warm!! It's bitter cold here in PA today, but we haven't had any snow .......yet!!

So sorry you had to make this type of card right before the holidays, Carol. That is enough to make your heart heavy and i'm so sorry for that. The card is beautiful though! Love the butterflies and all the pops of gold. My deepest sympathies to your husband. TFS and stay warm as it's brutal out today!

How sad, it's bad at anytime, but Christmas makes a loss heavier to bear somehow. (I know). This is a beautiful card and will appreciated I'm sure.

I am so sorry to hear of this lost for the family and for Butch. It always seems worse this time of year. In our area we had an accident two nights ago and two 19 year old lost their lives. Anyway this will bring much comfort to his family. It is just a touch of class and grace. Stay warm.

I'm so sorry to hear of Butch's loss of his good friend. It's always hard to deal with no matter what the age. Your sympathy card is just so beautiful and peaceful Carol. I love that font on the sentiment. In my opinion you can never go wrong with butterflies for a sympathy card. Hope all is well with you and your health issues my friend! Hugs, Brenda
