Thanksgiving

Today's card began with a piece of white cardstock, sponged with peeled paint, fired brick and marmalade distress inks. I took an old wooden leaf stamp, sprayed it with water and stamped the image into the inks. I die-cut it with a stitched square and matted it on some green cardstock, adding 3 gold brads to the bottom. The orange panel was embossed with a Darice autumn leaves ef, and the sentiment panel and card base were embossed with stitched rectangle dies. The sentiment was heat embossed with white ep.

I'm sharing this with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge which is "Thanksgiving or a Thank you card."

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Carol

Is that what they call the ghosting technique? That's a nifty look. I like the embossing on your middle layer. Cool card!

I'm behind in commenting (uh-gin), so I've scrolled through the posts, enjoying the designs and of course the papers you select to go with the motifs. Just had to say how much I love this one, with the rich fall colors. (of course the stitch-y dies too). Amazing ghosting on this leaf, something I just have not yet mastered with that technique. It really is a beautiful fall card. Happy Sunday. Hugs
