Joyful Christmas

I have a Christmas card today to add to my Caring Hearts Card Drive box. I donate cards to this great cause every year because they're distributed to nursing home residents who often need some extra love. I think a hand-made card would bring lots of smiles to those who receive them, so I always make as many as I can. You can find the link on the top of my side bar which takes you to the blog with all the details; or you can just click the link above in this post.
I used the SU! Wonderful Year stamp set, embossing the large sentiment with gold embossing powder. I cut the main panel with a SU! top note die, then placed it on a white panel embossed with a SU! softly fallen panel, and then adhered it all on a Pear Pizazz card base. The gold holly leaves and berries were done with stitched holly berries and leaves dies from Poppystamps with gold-embossed cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by, and if you've made any extra Christmas cards, I hope you'll consider donating them to the Caring Hearts Card Drive. The volunteers do a tremendous amount of work in making sure these cards are distributed and hopefully our cards will bring lots of smiles during this holiday season!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day.

As always, your CAS cards sparkle. The red is such a pretty red with this sparkling gold, and looks awesome over the white embossed 'snow'. Like that only a scant bit of the card base shows in the pear green. (this would work in Rudolph Day too, if you've not entered..I totally forgot about Rudy until I read a post yesterday!) TFS & Hugs (and yes, it's a relief to think both of us are finally beginning to feel just a bit better.)

We must have been on the same wave length today, Carol! I used this same stamp set on my card as well!! Your card is beautiful and I love the reason behind it! The colors are traditional Christmas colors and I love the gold embossing! Such a pretty card and one that will be greatly appreciated! TFS and have a great day! Hugs~
