Those Tim Holtz Crazy Birds are still making me smile, so I made a few more Christmas cards with this bird wearing his Santa Hat. I stamped a little sprig of mistletoe with a red ribbon at the top to give him something to watch, while computer generating the sentiment and breaking it up into 3 separate words. I used Gina Marie stitched squares, and Lil Inker stitched rectangles to cut the 2 panels, and placed it on an early espresso card base - which was also die cut with the stitched rectangles. I colored the bird with Copics and used a snippet of retired SU! dsp for the background.
I'm entering this into the September Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge which is "Song." Deck the Halls is a pretty well-known song, right? Fa-la-la-la-la.....la-la-la-la!
Thanks for checking in today and if you're celebrating Labor Day as we are here in the states - make it a great one! Bring on autumn - I'm so ready for cooler weather after this blazing hot summer we've had!
