Congratulations

A bank employee we've known for quite a number of years told us recently she's retiring in a few weeks, so I wanted to make her a card. She's always been that bright, cheerful person who greets us and it's been a delightful experience doing banking with someone so kind and pleasant. I used a MB Vivienne and Darla butterfly die combination, along with an embossed background done with a Cuttlebug Geometric rings embossing folder. The sentiment is a SU! silver heat-embossed version done on pale grey cardstock, and all the tiny pearls and clear gemstones are from Pizzazz Aplenty. I computer generated a retirement sentiment for the inside. And if you're wondering - yes! LOL I adhered each pearl to the centers in the embossed design.........it went pretty quickly with glossy accents. The pink cardstock is by Bazzill Basics and I really like the soft pink color. Like a butterfly, she's off to a new way of life and I wish her nothing but the best.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a great weekend!

Carol

Completely elegant! I've put pearls in the middle of all the Xs in an embossed panel before, although I've covered up more of them than you have here. It was so worth it to do though. It makes your creation all the more special.

I hope she totally enjoys her retirement and she will be happy that she is doing so just because she will receive this gorgeous card. Wonderful idea to pearl each and every center and I love the embossed sentiment. The pink and grey go so nicely together. Enjoy your weekend.
