Rrruffff!!!

Ever have one of those "RUFF" days? Well apparently this dog did, because he sure looks unhappy doesn't he? LOL Maybe he'll feel better now that he's out of the package and on a card. I colored him with Copics and fussy-cut him, then placed him on a Nestabilities Labels 18 die, edged with a brown marker, then placed him on a larger die that was edged with a white marker. The little white bone seemed to balance everything out nicely. The background was embossed with a Darice pawprint ef, and I pulled a snippet of striped dsp from my stash for the vertical strip. The letters were done with my Quickutz and I called this one done. I'm sharing this over at Darnell's 7th NBUS challenge with this Tim Holtz Crazy Dog being the NBUS. I have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot more of this guy in the future :)

Do you want to use some "NBUS" and play along? Sure you do!! Just click the badge below and it will take you to Darnell's awesome blog for the details. In case you didn't already know...NBUS is Never Before Used Schtuff.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a wonderful weekend whatever you're doing!

OMGosh, this card is so cute, Carol!! That dog really looks like he had a ruff day! Love, love, love that pawprint embossing folder and the strip of paper you used. It all blends together so well. Terrific job and I'm sure this will cheer the recipient right up and give them a giggle! TFS and have a great day! :)

He has the face only a mamma could love. Wonderful coloring and design. That is just perfect for NBUS... you waited a long time for those doggies to arrive.

He has that "don't bother me" look going on! Cute card and I really like how you added the designer paper strip. Now I have to have that embossing folder. Perfect for that stamp set!

Haha, Ruff is the perfect name for this fun bulldog, Carol! I bought the TH bird set that was all the rage and still have most of it as NBUS. I wish I had used those several times so I could justify the great dog set. (I just need to get busy, right?!!) Your e/f and layering and bone embellie really round out your great design! Thank you so much for the shoutout and for joining in my NBUS Challenge #7!! Hugs, Darnell

I am sure he is a happy camper now that he is out of the package. Love the dies with the different colored edging. Your striped paper is perfect for the rest of the card. Hope you have a good evening.

What fun, I have to chuckle at the dog and his warning look, all you would have to do is say hello and he would lick you to death I'm sure. LOVE how you have shown him off.

This guy looks quite fierce! But also he looks like one stern look would turn him into a love machine complete with licks and drool. Great card! The dogs are safely on my wish list to go with my cats and birds! And NBUS! I just used a really rilly rilly old unused stamp this weekend.
