Merry Sketch-Mas

I have another Christmas card today made just under the wire for the Jingle Belles Merry Sketch-mas challenge. Using a sketch to make a card was once my favorite kind of challenge to enter, but I'm a bit rusty since I haven't done that for nearly a year since OWH shut down. I thought I'd give this sketch a try because it looked like a fun one, so I made a basic card using snippets of random cardstock. What appears to be white is actually vanilla cardstock. Trying to photograph gold mirror cardstock changes the look of everything it seems. I die-cut the Lawn Fawn stitched snowflakes with the mirror card, and added some vanilla negatives to the center of the larger one. The vanilla panel was embossed with a SU! softly fallen ef while the red was die cut with a Gina Marie stitched circle. The Northwoods sentiment was gold embossed.
Here's the sketch I loosely followed.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is fabulous!

Carol

Such a pretty holiday card, Carol! Love the traditional red & green card but I really love the pop of gold from your foil paper that you used for your pretty stitched snowflakes! Hope you have a great day! :)

This is a simple yet effective card. I like the flatness of it (for mailing purposes!).

Do you know that I have never follow a sketch to make a card? I must try! Your interpretation of this sketch is very pretty, love the design with the traditional colours and the gold stitched snowflake!! The vanilla panel has a beautiful look with the falling snow embossing!

I am loving your take on this sketch Carol! The traditional colors are so pretty and yes, hard to photograph foil! But I love how it came out and think you have a winner to add to your stash. Hugs, Brenda
