Father's Day Folio {Photo-heavy}

I made my husband a father's day folio using this tutorial and used up some retired SU! dsp at the same time. I used many free digital images throughout, and here my little tribute to him and his favorite things.

Front Cover

Inside Top Cover; the larger tag has a personal message and the smaller tag has some coffee cash tucked inside.

Here are the pages - the first is my husband's favorite thing in the world - WaWa coffee.

This truck was his favorite - a 2000 Ford F150 bought new. It finally died with very high mileage and a blown head gasket back in January. I took this picture just before they came to haul it away.

He's a die-hard Ford man and this was the hot rod he always dreamed he'd own one day. He was saving to buy an old coupe, but when he lost his job after 36 years back in 2006, he was forced to use those savings to live on after the unemployment ran out.

My husband's always been an avid Indian artifact hunter/collector, and has quite a collection of arrowheads he's found through the years. When the kids were smaller, we camped in a slide-on camper like the one shown above. The same old song was heard every time we headed somewhere......."are we there yet??"

This is his favorite ice cream store. It has the same last name as ours, but unfortunately we're not related so there's no discount. LOL Chocolate is his favorite flavor.

This page represents some of the animals we've had in our 48 years together. Horses and dogs have always been in our lives.

A few more of his favorite things.

Davey Allison was always his favorite Nascar driver, and of course we're both die-hard Elvis Presley fans.

He was like a kid in a candy store when he got his first snowblower. Now he hates having to clear snow! Age happens :)

This is the inside of the back cover. It was a printed digital with enough space for me to stamp his name in there in red.

I realize I missed a photo of one page with a baseball theme. He played little league and always loved the Phillies.

So there's a little tribute to my husband for Father's day 2016. If you stayed with me this long, thanks for stopping by and tuning in for a little while!

Happy father's day to all the dads out there too!

I'll share this over at the Snippets playground 234 because it's filled with snippets of all kinds.

Wow, this is most amazing Carol!!! I love your tribute to your husband for Father's Day. Dwayne loved Davey Allison too and after he passed away it wasn't long before Dwayne lost interest in NASCAR. I bought him a Davey Allison framed piece of art work and pictures, he loved it. Like your hubby mine was also a Ford man. lol To bad his truck died on him like that, look like it was still in good shape. I did a double take on the ice cream place, how cool that it has the same name as your last name, stinks you don't get a discount though. lol There can't be that many people with that name, so that should get you a discount right there! I bet your hubby loved this, I just think it is so awesome! I might and try and do this sometime for the guys who have kids. Hugs, Brenda

i not only stayed with you throughout this post, but it was like a page turning book. I could not wait to see what was coming next. This is a fabulous tribute to Butch and something he will treasure, I'm sure of that. Each page was so nicely presented and I see you did manage to use up some on your papers here. Hope he had a special Father's Day and I hope you have a good week ahead. Our's will be full of hot and muggy weather.

Oh My! This is wonderful! I'm sure he loved it! A walk down memory lane for sure. Jim had a Ford truck too, bought it second hand...had to trade it in so we could get another carinstead to take my Mom to the cancer in it. She couldn't step high enough to get into the truck. His favorite truck A Dodge (and only NEW one he ever had. (was totaled) So I don't think I would put that one in a memory book..smile.
