To The Beach

I found this free digital image in my folder, but it had no name attached, so I don't know who to give credit for the design. I colored it with Copics, adding some sponged clouds with tumbled glass ink. I edged the image and die-cut sentiment panels with a pink fluorescent Copic and added some clear gemstones to the stamped flip-flops and sentiment. The starfish is a Marianne die cut which was sponged with antique linen ink. The dsp is a long-hoarded favorite from SU!

I'm sharing this with the Little Red Wagon #336 challenge which is "celebrate." Retiring is certainly a good reason to celebrate, right?!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Such a wonderful design and I never would've thought to pair a Summer type image with retirement, but this is a great idea!! It's wonderful and I love the colors you've used! Have a great weekend! HUGS

I'm not retiring but we can still go to the beach, can't we? Pleeeeeze?! Great card! That starfish is cool. There was a giant sea star on my bedroom ceiling one night. It was going to eat me. Then I realized it was just the ceiling fan, turned off. Phew, dodged a bullet there.

I know I will be celebrating when the time comes! This is a great send off to relaxation. Maybe someone will know who the image belongs too. I have so many with no creators name, also.

Good golly! I wish I was headed to the beach - but since I'm not I'll just enjoy your card. Love this for a retirement card and the starfish looks real with that sponging.

Great retirement card! Nice design. I was asked to make a retirement card! And I had been thinking along the designs of a beach card...so you have confirmed for me that this is the way to go to make my card. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hope you are enjoying our "snowy" weekend!
